Oncology rate of availability (%, 2015 – 2018)
The rate of availability is the number of medicines available to patients in European countries (for most countries this is the point at which the product gains access to the reimbursement list*). This includes all medicines status to provide a complete picture of the availability of the cohort of medicines studied.

av norske pasienter er slutt:
Vi forventer og forlanger at norske pasienter skal få tilgang til den beste behandlingen snarest etter at den er tilgjen- gelig på markedet. Det er ikke tilfellet i dag.
Hvis du er så uheldig å få hjernekreft, lønner det seg ikke å bo i Norge. Vi bruker nemlig lengre tid enn land som Sverige, Danmark og England på å ta i bruk nye medisiner og metoder som forlenger livet uten å gi store belastninger på pasienten. Hjernekreft står for en betyde- lig del av dødelig kreft, og gir stor sykdomsbelastning for pasient og pårørende. I de fleste tilfeller finnes det i dag ingen behandling som kan kurere hjernekreften. Men det finnes metoder som kan gi pasientene mer tid.
Både Sverige og Danmark bruker Optune elektrisk felt- terapi, som Norge mener er for kostbart. Begge land tilbyr
Visualase laserablasjon, som Beslutningsforum uttrykker at de ønsker en norsk studie på – selv om metoden er godt dokumentert fra andre land. Norske pasienter dør mens de venter på behandling.
